How to Apply for a Dubai Transit Visa Online

Check whether you need a Dubai transit visa
Select the country on your passport and the country you are flying from. If your passport gets visa-free entry or a visa on arrival, you can leave the airport without a transit visa. If it does not, a transit visa must be approved before you board - it is not issued at Dubai immigration.
Choose 48 hours or 96 hours
Pick the permit that covers your connection. The 48-hour transit visa has no government fee and suits an overnight stop; the 96-hour transit visa carries a small government fee and gives you up to four days. Both are single entry, must be used within 30 days of issue, and cannot be extended in Dubai.
Fill in the transit visa application
Enter your passport details exactly as printed, your arrival and onward flights, and where you will stay in Dubai. Add every traveller on the same booking so the group is processed together. Then upload a clear passport scan, a recent photo, your onward ticket to a third country and your hotel booking or host address.
Pay the fee and pick a processing speed
Pay securely by card. The government fee, if any, and our service charge are shown separately before you confirm. Standard processing usually completes in 24 to 48 working hours; express and urgent options are available when your connection is close.
Track your status and download the e-visa
Follow every stage online with your application ID. Once the transit visa is approved we email it to you and it appears in your status page for download. Print it or keep it on your phone and show it with your onward ticket at check-in.
