96 Hours Dubai Transit Visa

Apply online, receive your e-visa within 04–24 hours.

Is 96 hours the right call, or is your layover actually short enough for 48?

This visa exists for one reason: 48 hours doesn't legally cover your layover, or you're deliberately building a 4-day stopover into a longer trip.

  • Your layover is over 48 hours — the 48-hour visa simply isn't valid for it. This isn't a judgment call; applying for the shorter visa when your layover exceeds it is an overstay you'd be planning in advance.
  • Your layover is under 48 hours but you want more breathing room — for a modest extra cost, 96 hours removes the pressure of a tight buffer entirely. See the full decision breakdown →
  • You're building a real stopover into your trip — four days is enough to see Dubai properly, not just tick off the skyline.

What 96 hours actually gets you that 48 doesn't

Not just "more time" — a genuinely different kind of visit. Four days is enough to add a desert safari or a dhow cruise without the timing pressure that makes those the riskiest bookings on a 48-hour visa. It's enough for Downtown, Old Dubai, the Marina, and something slower on top — a museum, a beach day, a proper meal rather than a rushed one between sights.

What you'll need

  • Passport valid 6+ months from your arrival date
  • Confirmed onward ticket to a third country, departing within 96 hours of entry
  • A recent white-background photo
  • Hotel booking, if you're staying overnight

Pricing

 Amount
Government feeAED 120
Our service feeAED 368  (USD 100)

Note: Additional service or processing charges may apply depending on the application channel/provider.

Unlike the 48-hour visa, this one carries an official government charge — it isn't optional or provider-dependent. Any service fee on top of that AED 120 is ours, shown before you pay.

The one condition that catches people out

Non-refundable, and there's no downgrade either. If your plans shrink and you end up only using 24 hours of your 96, you've still paid the 96-hour fee — there's no partial refund for using less of the window. If you already know your layover is short, the 48-hour visa is the better fit; don't buy 96 hours "just in case" if your layover is comfortably under 40 hours.
