REQUIREMENTS FOR DUBAI VISA FOR INFANTS

As per the Immigrants and Tourist Laws of UAE, every foreign citizen residing in or travelling to Dubai needs a "valid Visa", including newborns and infants.

An infant may need a visa in Dubai in two cases,

If a child is born within the national boundaries of UAE to immigrant parents, then they need to apply for a residence visa for the child within 120 days. Failure to do so will result in a fine of 100 ADR per day after the 120 days time limit. The process shall be the same as for a family residence visa.

The requirements to attain a residency visa for the newborn are:

• The parents must be having UAE residence visa 
• The minimum monthly salary of the parent(s) should be 4000D 

A woman pregnant up to 28 weeks can travel to Dubai without requiring to fulfil any additional parameters. But from the beginning of the 29th week of pregnancy to the 36th week, it becomes mandatory for her to submit a medical certificate, ensuring her health condition. 

From the 37th week onwards, they cannot travel to the Emirates. Hence the chances of a tourist giving birth to a child in Dubai are rare. 

If premature birth is due to medical complications or unforeseen conditions, the child can stay in the city until the mother's visa is valid.
