Dubai Visa for Albanian Citizens: Requirements & Entry Rules

Planning a trip from Tirana and wondering whether you need a visa first? This guide covers the Dubai visa for Albanian citizens: how entry works for Albanian passports, what the Tirana to Dubai flight looks like, what our visas cost, and how to apply for a Dubai visa online if your plans call for one.

Do Albanians Need a Visa for Dubai?

Albanian passport holders are generally listed among the nationalities that can enter the UAE for a short visit without arranging a visa in advance, for a stay of up to 90 days. For a standard holiday or short trip, a paid visa may therefore not be necessary.

Entry conditions are set by UAE immigration and can change, so confirm your status with your airline before you book or pay for anything. The border officer makes the final decision on arrival. For the general requirements that apply to visitors, see our guide to Dubai tourist visa requirements.

How Long Can Albanian Passport Holders Stay?

Short-visit entry for Albanian passports is generally up to 90 days. If you plan a long stay or several trips close together, ask your airline or UAE immigration how your days will be counted. If you may need more time once you are in the country, see how a Dubai visa extension works.

Flying from Tirana to Dubai

Tirana (TIA) is the departure point most Albanian travellers use. Emirates and flydubai both operate nonstop Tirana to Dubai flights, and the journey takes roughly five hours fifty minutes. Timetables change by season, so check the airline's schedule for current days and times. Your booking confirmation shows which Dubai airport your flight arrives at, so check it before arranging transfers or hotel pickups.

Looking for an Albania Visa from Dubai? Read This First

Many search results for "Albania, Dubai and visa" are about the opposite journey: people living in the UAE who want to visit Albania. This page is for Albanian passport holders travelling to Dubai. If you live in the UAE and plan a trip to Albania, you need Albania's entry rules for your own passport instead.

When Might You Still Need a Dubai Visa?

Short-visit entry covers a typical trip. A visa from our website becomes relevant when your plans go beyond that:

  • Longer stays. We offer 30-day and 60-day single and multiple entry visas. Our 30-day Dubai visa guide explains how that option works.
  • Work or freelance plans. Visit entry does not allow you to work. Our 2-year freelancer visa is listed in the pricing table below.
  • Connecting through Dubai. If you are only changing planes, our 48-hour and 96-hour transit visas are designed for layovers.

Albanian Passport or Another Passport: Which Rules Apply?

UAE entry rules follow the passport you travel on. A traveller born in Albania who now holds an Italian, Greek, British or other passport follows the rules for that passport. If you hold two passports, use the same one for your booking and at the UAE border.

How to Apply for a Dubai Visa Through Our Website

If you decide you need a visa, you can apply online in a few steps. Start on our Dubai visa application page.

  1. Visit the application page. Open the how to apply page to begin.
  2. Select your citizenship and departure country. Under "I am a citizen of", choose Albania. Under "I am travelling from", choose the country you will fly from, then click "Check & Apply".
  3. Choose a visa. Pick the visa card that fits your plans, such as a transit visa, a 30-day or 60-day visit visa, or the freelancer visa, then click "Apply for This Visa". The fee is shown before you pay.
  4. Complete the application form. Enter the requested traveller and passport details accurately, exactly as they appear on your passport.
  5. Upload documents and pay. Upload the documents requested for your chosen visa. For transit visas these are your passport bio page, a recent photograph, a confirmed hotel booking and a confirmed onward flight ticket, and your passport needs at least six months of validity and four blank pages. See our guide to the documents required for a Dubai transit visa. Payment is online by Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express.
  6. Wait for processing. A specialist checks your documents before your application is submitted. Each visa card shows its processing speed, which is an estimate and not a guarantee; our Dubai transit visa processing time guide gives more context.
  7. Track your application. Use our visa status page to follow your application.

Travelling soon? Our express visa service is available for urgent requests. The final visa decision rests with the UAE immigration authority, and paying for an application does not guarantee that a visa will be issued.

Important Notes Before You Travel

  • Confirm your entry status with your airline before booking.
  • UAE immigration alone decides the outcome of every application, and we cannot guarantee approval or entry.
  • Flight schedules and entry rules can change without notice.
  • Do not pay for a visa until you are sure your trip needs one. If an application is refused, the common reasons for Dubai visa rejection are worth reading.
