FAQ
Dubai Transit Visa Questions, Answered
Who needs one, 48 versus 96 hours, fees, documents and what airlines check at boarding.
To leave the airport in the UAE, a Taiwan passport needs a visa approved before travel. First, make sure your passport is valid for at least six months. Second, prepare a clear photo and passport scan. Third, have your confirmed onward ticket ready. Then apply with us for a 48-hour or 96-hour transit visa, and our team checks the details before submission. Staying airside on one ticket generally needs no UAE visa.
No. The June 2026 expansion covers passport holders from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Kenya and South Africa who hold certain residence permits, and Taiwan is not on that list. A Taiwan passport therefore still needs a visa approved before you fly if you plan to leave the airport during a layover. We can arrange a 48-hour or 96-hour transit visa for you once your flights are booked.
Only with a visa. Moving between Dubai International and Zayed International in Abu Dhabi means clearing immigration and a long road transfer, so a Taiwan passport needs a transit visa approved in advance. Apply with us once your tickets are confirmed, and leave several hours between flights, since you will need to collect your bags and check in again at the second airport.
Keep your passport, boarding passes for every leg, the visa for your final destination and a printed copy of your onward booking. If there is any chance you will need to leave the airport, for example after a cancellation or an overnight delay, an approved transit visa from us belongs in that folder too. Carry medicines in their original packaging with a prescription, as the UAE checks some medications closely.
Yes, that is the usual order. Book flights with a stop that suits you, then apply with us for the 48-hour or 96-hour transit visa using the confirmed itinerary. Apply soon after booking rather than just before departure, so there is time to correct any detail if needed. Our team will also tell you whether the gap between your flights fits the visa you have chosen.
