FAQ
Dubai Transit Visa Questions, Answered
Who needs one, 48 versus 96 hours, fees, documents and what airlines check at boarding.
For one night in Dubai, a 48-hour transit visa usually fits, as long as your flight to Guangzhou leaves inside 48 hours of landing. It lets you leave the airport, stay in a hotel and come back for the onward flight. Have your Chinese visa and your onward booking ready, because both are checked. Apply with us before you fly from Lusaka and we will match the visa to your flight times.
Yes, if you will be in Dubai for up to four days and already hold a booked flight onward to Lusaka. The 96-hour transit visa is meant for exactly this kind of stop: a few days to rest, shop or see family before the last leg. If you want to stay longer than four days, a tourist visa is the better choice. Tell us your dates and we will suggest the right option.
Usually a clear passport scan with at least six months of validity, a recent photo on a plain background, and your confirmed onward ticket out of the UAE. If your final destination requires a visa, keep that ready too, as airlines check it at Lusaka. Our team reviews the files before they are submitted, so a blurred scan or a mismatched name is caught early rather than becoming a refusal.
If the family will leave the airport, yes: every traveller, including babies, needs their own approved visa on their own passport. For a connection where you all stay airside on one ticket, a visa is not normally needed, but a delay with small children can turn into a long night in the terminal. A pre-arranged transit visa for each family member avoids that, and we can submit them together.
Yes. Moving between Dubai International and Dubai World Central means leaving one airport and travelling by road to the other, so you pass UAE immigration. A Zambian passport needs a visa approved before travel for that. A 48-hour transit visa normally covers the transfer and any wait. Allow plenty of time between flights, and apply with us before departure so the approval is in hand.
