Dubai Visa From Finland: Which Visa Do You Need?

If the stop is long, yes. Winter flights to Thailand fill up, and a delayed connection can mean a night in Dubai with children. Finnish passports are listed for arrival entry, but we recommend a pre-arranged transit visa for each family member so you can leave for a hotel without waiting on a decision at the desk. For a short airside change on one ticket, you simply stay in the transfer area.

Airside means you never pass UAE passport control: you land, follow the transfer signs, clear security and wait at your next gate. That works on one ticket with bags checked through to your final stop. Leaving the terminal, collecting bags or switching airports is not airside. For those cases, and for long waits, we suggest a pre-arranged transit visa, even though Finnish passports are listed for arrival entry.

Not if you follow the passport. Enter your name exactly as printed in the machine-readable lines at the bottom of the photo page, where ä usually appears as A or AE and ö as O or OE. Your flight booking should match the same spelling. Our team compares the application with your passport scan before submission, which avoids mismatches at check-in.

Fill in our online form, upload your passport photo page and a recent photo, and add a booking that shows your onward flight out of the UAE. Our team reviews it, submits the application and emails the approved visa. The 48-hour option fits a single night between flights. Print it or keep it on your phone for check-in at Helsinki-Vantaa.
