FAQ
Dubai Transit Visa Questions, Answered
Who needs one, 48 versus 96 hours, fees, documents and what airlines check at boarding.
No. On a single through ticket with bags checked to your final city, you change planes airside and never pass UAE immigration. If your tickets are separate, or a delay turns the connection into an overnight, you'll need permission to enter based on your nationality. For that case, we recommend a pre-arranged transit visa from us, with your Iqama copy, before leaving Riyadh or Jeddah.
Saudi citizens enter the UAE under GCC arrangements, normally with a passport or national ID, so a stop outside the airport is simple. If you stay airside, just follow transfer signs to your onward gate. Customs rules still apply if you leave. For relatives or staff on other passports, we can arrange transit visas in advance.
Yes, but plan dates so you're back in the Kingdom before your exit re-entry visa runs out; a delay in Dubai can eat into that margin. Keep the stop short, and if you'll leave the airport, apply with us for a transit visa that matches your flights. We'd avoid booking your return on the last valid day.
Yes, for a short break before your onward flight: it covers up to four days on a confirmed ticket out of the UAE. Your Umrah visa doesn't cover the UAE, so if your passport needs a UAE visa, apply with us before the Dubai leg. Tell us your flight dates and we'll match the visa to them.
